What horse power is your tractor?

Hi there.  I've been reading the various posts regarding your tractor, but haven't seen this mentioned.  I think your rototiller attachment is 4 feet?  And you have the bucket of course.  Any other attachments?

The tractor on TinyFarmBlog is a Kubota B1700 HSD. It is 17hp. It has a B48CA 48" rototiller, which has a 44" tilling width. The front end loader is an LA302, 50" wide. And there is an RC54 54" rotary mowing deck. I got the tractor used, about 480 hours, and it came with the deck. The new tiller and loader were added at purchase.

I wouldn't have bought the deck, and I still haven't figured how to painlessly get it on and off, though that usually only takes 15 minutes. I use it to mow down crop residue and grass perimeters, when they're bigger jobs - a small riding mower has proven more convenient most of the time. You have to remove the deck to till, as it's low and gets in the way to begin with, and is lowered when you drop the rear hitch.

VERY helpful !  We've been intensely researching tractors the last 2 weeks.  On one tractor forum, I'm told the clearance on a Deere 2305 might be too low--7.7 inches.  Yours is about 11ish inches according to the specs I can find.  The guys on tractor tires think a sub-compact is just a tad small for cultivating our tiny farm--2 acres.....

I'm also very interested in seeing that you have TURF tires on yours.  I would think that would be a real problem in the field !  Do you ever lose traction?
